WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO TURN 23

dezembro 15, 2017

Today I turn 23.
It's been a crazy year for me. From endless hours spent at airport lounges, countless days working like crazy to make an event happen to months of redesigning the whole blog and rethinking Contemporary Lives Here.

I've recently read this text from the editor's letter of Pylot Magazine by Max Barnett and I think it really describes what I'm feeling:
About the emotional rollercoaster of giving our all to projects that mean everything to us:
"Whether striving to succeed in a field you are passionate about, trying to thrive in a particular career path, or even aiming to make the most of life's opportunities or do the very best with what you have to offer, the obligation is on us to make the most of it.
We need to celebrate our highs, as well as appreciate our lows in order to understand the journey we have taken en route to achieving our goals.
Sometimes it feels like to live on this earth we have to fight for our opportunity to make a difference.
We are given one shot at this life, so we must not allow it to pass us by without fully participating in our passions and seeking to fulfil our goals"

By spending this past year giving everything to projects I love, I can say I'm incredibly proud of what I've achieved until now and I couldn't be more thankful for everyone in my life, including everyone on that side of the screen reading this right now!
Without your endless support, I couldn't be here. Thank you so much, truly Maria.
